Total Hip Replacement is known for its energetic and unique live concerts. The band navigates playfully from intoxicating reggae-rhythms through soulful, melodic lines intertwining messages on the troubling direction in which the world is turning. In a mixture of tight grooves and organic, expressive virtuosity, you find a sound alternating between forward marching and meditating trance. The music is merging reggae, highlife, afrobeat, dub and pop in a bold mix. The live show features a 9-piece energetic group on stage, a tight horn section and infectious vibes.

2022 and 2023 were explosive years for the band seeing the release of the “Anyankofo” album and an extensive release tour in Ghana, Greenland, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, France and and Brasil with more than 120 shows and thousands of listeners. Both album and live-shows were critically acclaimed with good reviews in magazines such as GAFFA (DK´s biggest music mag), RIDDIM(DE), SONGLINES(UK), COSMO WDR(DE), international radio support and big festivals as Bout Du Monde (FR), Reggae Jam (DE), Ostroda Reggae Festival (PO), Tempo Latino (FR), and two sold out headliner shows in Aarhus and Copenhagen, DK.

The band is currently working on their new album due to be released in 2024.
